About Me

My name is Serhii, and I’ve been passionate about search engine optimization (SEO) since October 2018. I consider myself very fortunate because my work is also my passion and hobby. To be honest, I don’t even see SEO as a job—it’s something I genuinely enjoy.

I was born and still live in Kropyvnytskyi, a town in the heart of Ukraine.

My interest in technology began when my parents bought me my first computer, and not long after, we got access to the internet. I vividly remember my first Google search: I typed in ‘tree,’ and suddenly, countless websites, images, and information about trees appeared. I was fascinated. Next, I looked up a few questions about the computer games I was playing, and to my surprise, I found forums filled with thousands of people all discussing and sharing their experiences about the same games.

Soon after, I created my first website on the uCoz platform, dedicated to my favorite game. That’s when I realized I wanted to build websites for a living.

I started my career in IT as a front-end web developer, but during my studies, I realized front-end development wasn’t for me. It felt too monotonous, and I wanted to do something more dynamic. However, I knew I wanted my career to stay connected to web development since I had always dreamed of having my own website as a child—a creative space that others could see and engage with.

Initially, I thought web design might be the next step, but fate intervened when I met my future boss, who was recruiting for his team at the time. He introduced me to SEO, and that’s when it clicked. I knew I had found something that fit me perfectly. I’m still working at the same company, VisibleWebs, to this day.

To me, SEO isn’t just about formulas or predetermined strategies to improve rankings and traffic. It’s a competition, sometimes a puzzle, and often an avenue for innovation. SEO is constantly evolving. Each new project I take on introduces me to passionate, intelligent people who care deeply about their business or idea. Like me, they want to grow, improve, and create something they can be proud of. I’m grateful to be even a small part of their journey, witnessing their growth and seeing how their product or service improves over time.

Successful Projects I’ve Contributed To

Exactly, not just ‘my successful cases,’ but ‘successful projects I’ve contributed to.’ Achieving real success takes more than just adding a few keywords to a title tag or building a few hundred links. True, lasting success—the kind you can be proud of—requires a collaborative team effort. Anything else is just luck or a fleeting victory due to a lack of competition.

CBD Products Online Store

This was my first major project. A big advantage of this store was the high quality of the product, along with a large number of positive customer reviews on the website. The brand was becoming more popular every month. We completed the project when the client achieved the top position for the desired high-volume keyword. We finished our work in early July 2020.

Productivity Blog

In this case, the client was actually very knowledgeable about writing keyword-rich content. As part of our work with this client, we conducted keyword research (KWR), and I worked on blog posts that generated a lot of impressions in Google Search Console (GSC) but weren’t driving any traffic. These articles often ranked in the top 20-30 of the Google SERP. After adding more targeted keywords to some of the articles and optimizing the text, the site began to attract more traffic. We started working on the project in September 2020 and finished at the end of March 2021.

Small Local Business Offering Maid Services

I initially worked on this project as an SEO specialist (from April 2020 to June 2020), and then I served as the Project Manager until February 2021. This project was somewhat unique because the client approached us after a previous SEO agency had spammed a lot of low-quality links. We conducted a disavow, and after some time, with on-site optimizations and link building, the project achieved very strong rankings in Google SERP.

Social Media SaaS

Since this client was in a highly competitive and complex niche, I won’t go into the specifics of the project, the strategy we used, or why we paused work for two and a half years. Instead, I’ll simply show you the growth results. At the client’s request, I can’t provide any details, but I’m happy to share some screenshots showcasing the results our team achieved.

Local Mental Health Services Providers

I prefer not to share specific details about this project, as I believe that disclosing information about the niche or the strategy we used could potentially harm the client. What I can say is that we developed a strategy based on valuable insights from the client, and it remains effective. The client produces a lot of high-quality content, and our role is to optimize this content with targeted keywords and secure relevant backlinks from highly reputable sources.

For these successful cases, I prefer not to go into the specifics of the SEO strategy, the challenges faced during the campaign, or details about the niche and competitors. SEO was just one part of the success, especially with how search engine ranking policies, like Google’s, have changed. Today, brand presence has a much greater impact on SEO success than it did in the past. If you have any questions, suggestions, or would like to discuss a specific case, feel free to reach out to me here.
